Asian Aquaculture Conference 2018

AsianAqua2018 the first major aquaculture conference organised by AIT dedicated to the sustained progress of aquaculture in the Asian region, with a better understanding the systems practiced, highlighting regional needs and constraints, and imbibing the global progresses made in sustainable intensification of the production systems.

The theme of the Conference is

‘Celebrating Asian Aquaculture’

The three-day Conference (3 – 5 December 2018) will be followed by a farm tour on 6 December to aquaculture facilities in Thailand.

Two pre-conference training programs will be held at the AITCC Hotel as part of AsianAqua2018 Conference:

  • 26 - 30 November 2018: International Training Program on Management of Parasitic Diseases in Aquaculture (Resource persons: Dr. Kua Beng Chu, Malaysia; Dr. Supranee Chinabut, Thailand)

  • 1 - 2 December 2018: Integrated Multi-trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) - Resource person: Prof. Thierry B. Chopin, University of New Brunswick, Canada).



AsianAqua2018 is a new way of celebrating Asian Aquaculture that needs to sustain for ensuring global food security.
